A message from your Meeting Co-Convenors

See you in Perth!

We take great pleasure in inviting you to the 43rd Annual Meeting of the ANZSNM, to be held in Perth from 11 – 15 April 2013.

Nestled on the banks of the Swan River estuary, Perth is the dynamic capital city of Western Australia and is home to 1.7 million people. The recent mining boom has seen Perth emerge as one of the nation’s economic powerhouses.

In a break with previous meetings and in the spirit of the Exploring New Horizons theme of the Meeting, we will be hosting this year’s meeting at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, which is located in the heart of the city. There are numerous accommodation, dining and entertainment options within easy walking distance of the PCEC.

April is one of the best times of the year in Western Australia and you might consider combining a holiday with your visit, either before or after the Meeting. The Margaret River region of the state’s southwest is famous for its surfing beaches, forests, fine dining and wines. You might also consider a short break at Rottnest Island. Further afield are the Great Southern region, the Goldfields, and some spectacular scenery in WA’s north, including Ningaloo reef, Karijini National Park and Broome and the Kimberley. There are direct flights from elsewhere in Australia to Kalgoorlie, Karratha and Broome, with easy onward connections to Perth.

The scientific program for the Meeting will hold interest for all, with an exciting panel of international and national speakers discussing a range of clinical and technology issues across all aspects of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. In addition to state-of-the-art Meeting facilities, the large exhibition area at PCEC will provide a space for our industry partners to showcase the latest in equipment and products.

We look forward to seeing you in ‘the West’.
